Viamontian Town Criers

Free Rumors

Town Crier tells you, "Travelers in the desert have seen odd visions of Olthoi. Beware."

Town Crier tells you, "The Olthoi who plague this land shall never overtake the might of Viamont. Though you Bloodless find yourselves with no leader save this Thorsten Cragstone, and he little more than a brigand, Varicci shall in his wisdom and benevolence take pity upon you and will protect you, should you submit to him. Else, you will be cast out to fend for yourself. Choose wisely."

Town Crier tells you, "Are Tumeroks living in a city of stone to truly be trusted? It seems peculiar, to me at least."

Town Crier tells you, "Welcome to Corcosa - we are glad that you have come to visit. Um...wait, we aren't on Ispar, are we..."

Town Crier tells you, "To all those who live in these lands, be it known that King Varicci grants asylum and protection for those who would resist the depradations of the Hopeslayer, in return for an oath of fealty. Let Bael'zharon swallow the rest."

Town Crier tells you, "The Empyrean has asked for help. If you wish to play the puppet to his puppeteer you should go to his Tower."

Town Crier tells you, "Loyalists are encouraged to go to the Bloodless lands and obtain the latest secret of alchemy they have discovered. You are a loyalist, right?"

Town Crier tells you, "Let the Bloodless suffer from the ice and cold for once, as we constantly must endure."

Pyreal Rumors

Town Crier tells you, "The Aun Tumeroks have been meddling in the visions of others of late. Perhaps they are responsible for the bad dreams of those within the realm. Kill them all, I say."

Town Crier tells you, "The Aun Tumeroks have sent one of their Huntsmen to help quell the rise of a dangerous group of 'Dire Champion' creatures in the Dires. He has much experience in hunting dangerous creatures and shares it to those who assist him."

Town Crier tells you, "I remember when Varicci laid siege to Duke Bellenesse's keep. Trapped like rats, and slain in very much the same way. Thus should it always be to traitors - no escape and no hope."

Town Crier tells you, "...they're all dead...the king, the count, the Rossu Morta...the Hopeslayer killed them all. We thought we could withstand them..."

Town Crier tells you, "King Varicci offers a bounty of 100000 pyreal for the head of Thorsten Cragstone!"

Town Crier tells you, "Asheron feels that our warriors may be of use in the fight against the rising threat of Aerbax. Visit him in his tower near Eastham."

Town Crier tells you, "Janier al-Evv - this man you must seek. He holds secrets of alchemy that Viamont would have, and rumor has it that he has found an improvement to his latest success."

Town Crier tells you, "...I've felt very depressed, lately...as if life has no meaning."
Mainland Town Criers

Free Rumors

Town Crier tells you, "If only there were aught we could do to help free those who live in thrall to the Olthoi...wait...we...we did slay the Queen, right? Why does it feel like she's still alive?"

Town Crier tells you, "A Virindi device has appeared outside of Asheron's Tower. Any information should be brought to Asheron himself!"

Town Crier tells you, "Fort Tethana has become quite a haven for all sorts of characters, hasn't it?"

Town Crier tells you, "The sentient snowmen are back and harrying the land again."

Town Crier tells you, "Welcome to Chiran-tou - we are glad that you have come to visit. Um...wait, we aren't on Ispar, are we..."

Town Crier tells you, "Just when I think that the field of alchemy must surely be exhausted, and we know all that we were meant to, the alchemists go and surprise me with yet another development..."

Town Crier tells you, "Do you recall how tragic it was when Asheron fell in battle against the Hopeslayer - no, that's not what happened at all. I wonder what cause that thought to spring to my head?"

Pyreal Rumors

Town Crier tells you, "It's said that Thorsten Cragstone is going to be outfitting another raid against the Black Death Catacomb to see who he can rescue. Wait, Thorsten is dead - this is all making no sense."

Town Crier tells you, "There's an Aun Tumerok in Fort Tethana who is seeking help, but he won't accept help from just anyone. He will accept nothing less than assisting Asheron as proof that you may be trusted.

Town Crier tells you, "Asheron has asked for our help. Speak to the Elemental in his tower off the coast of Eastham."

Town Crier tells you, "A proliferation of 'Dire Champions' have been causing trouble in the Direlands. The Queen has enlisted the help of a Tumerok huntsman in Ayan Baqur to deal with the threat. He has hunting experience you may find useful in honing your skills."

Town Crier tells you, "...Please don't kill me, sirrah...since we lost the protection of the Light, I've been tortured in so many ways..."

Town Crier tells you, "I used to think that being a town crier was my calling, but these days I'm not so sure."

Town Crier tells you, "Janier al-Evv has devised a method by which the crafting of phials may be done in batches. Hurray for alchemy!"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant

Free Rumors

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "I remember the defeat of the Olthoi Queen as if it were yesterday. Seriously, I think someone went and slew her again the other day on Marae Lassel. What, you thought I meant the one that Elysa slew? That's just crazy."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "I hear the Dopeslayer has returned. No, not the Hopeslayer - the Dopeslayer. You see, if a person's a dope, this being comes and...deals...with them. Overall, I think this is a good thing."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "There goes the neighborhood!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "First we get that ugly cut up Lugian hanging around outside of town and now we get those drum thumping Tumeroks up on the hill."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Nighttime is drinky-sleepy-time, not drummy-screamy-time!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "'Tis the season to be jolly..."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "What do you mean it's not the season to be jolly anymore? It's always the season to be jolly!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "My buddy Asheron is throwing a party at his castle. You have to come. It's just off the coast of Eastham."

Stout Rumors

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "I think Aerbax is going about his scheme to conquer the world all wrong. What ol' Plasterhead Tentaclehands should do is start charging admission to all these dream quest things. Seriously - Charge an M note to witness the first war council of the Fourth Sending! Or maybe charge a C note to watch Elysa and Thorsten flirt! He'd become rich, and...well, I guess we couldn't even say we'd have our memories at that point, but it's not as if I have mine right now anyways. Who are you?"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "I'm an old fool. That Tumerok Game Warden, Jalvalarareralalala, came down and apologized for making all that noise the other night."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Seems they have a yearly celebration of the Hunt and they assumed we all knew about it."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Heck, If I'd known it was a party I would have brought the stout! I promised him to mix up some Hunstman's Vigor for the party next year. Hehe!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Anyway, he asked me to pass along the fact that he's looking for skilled hunters to help with the 'Dire Champion' creatures that have been causing so many deaths around here."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Go talk to him, he's a decent fellow."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Aerbax is coming for me, next. I'm going to be the next prodigal he tries to uplift. I'm kind of looking forward to it. I always felt like I could dominate the world, if only I had the proper motivation."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "I think that we've got our priorities screwed up. I mean, alchemists are good and all, but why can't they work on better beer recipes. Can't you just imagine what it'd be like if Janier al-Evv teamed up with some master brewers and made an infused stout? Throwing phials is all well and good, but I want to breathe on my enemy to weaken them. Or get them drunk, all the same to me - most Banderlings could use with getting drunk and relaxing."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Turns out Asheron wasn't throwing a party at his place. Seems I confused his asking for parties of heroes to come to his castle with a heroic party at his castle."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Oh well, I figure I may show up anyway. Have you ever noticed how tightly wound up he can get? He desperately needs a little relaxation."
