- One of the six Soul Crystals that imprisoned Bael'Zharon.
- Was found within the catacombs beneath Ithaenc Cathedral during the The Shard of the Herald event.
- Dropped high level "phat" loot for its time.
- The screenshot is of the Thistledown shard, which was so well defended by the players that in the end the developers had to intervene to destroy it.
- The shard was normally a level 126 creature; however, the defenders levelled the crystal up by sacrifising themselves to it.
