"There among the snow and battle stood a woman clad in white, with long golden hair spilling over her shoulders. With the tip of a flaming silver sword she drew a circle around herself, and coolly smote any Firstborn who dared cross it."[1]

  • Leikotha Arenir[2] was an Haebraen chevaird. Her sword, Ashbane was forged for her by the smith Dhere.[3]
  • She fought in the final battle of the Millennium War against the Dericost forces, led by, amongst others, the Sand King Nerash.[1]
  • Before she went to battle, she gave her daughter Alysse as a ward to Lady Orsinu [3]
  • During the final battle Leikotha caught Nerash' eye and heart. In the aftermath, he abducted her and turned her, unwillingly, into an undead. [4][5][1] For a full report of what happened during and just after the battle, see The Lay of Leikotha[3]
  • It is said that after she was made undead, she wept for thirty days and thirty nights[6]
  • She later escaped and tried to return to her homeland and her daughter, but was surprised by the guards, who took her for one of the Dericost, and fled. [3]
  • She had her vengeance at the conclusion of the Empyrean Shadow War.[4] Nerash was slain by Leikotha at the Battlefield of Ayn Tayan, a titanic three-day battle between undead and Shadow. Leikotha fought at the side of the Shadows, "under the sway of Ferah's poison". The four Cairns and the green mist on the Battlefield mark where Nerash was slain.[7]
  • Thought Nerash perished, the companies of Kelannik, Anadil, and Nerash crushed the survivors. Only Leikotha escaped.[7] She however, lost her sword, Ashbane, on the battlefield.[8]
  • She can now be found in Leikotha's Crypt, still looking for a way to get rid of the curse. The human Wari al Sha'im tried to help her, but was turned into an undead himself.[9] Her sword can be found in the Lady of Aerlinthe's Chest, which indicates that Aerfalle took it with her from the battlefield.
