Quest Leveling Guide

This guide will go through, briefly, the means with which to level up from 1 to 150 (and beyond)! I will add some notes and explanations as well as approximate amounts to hasten your rise to 150.

  • This symbol means that the quest has a contract and every 5 gets a contract boost from the 50-100 Contracts Quest.

    Keep in mind that turning in some items, and some creature values, and doing other quests (like the colo bosses) will put you higher than some of my stated level-values so feel free to skip over anytrhing you don't want to do, especially if you're higher-leveled.I hope you enjoy and thank you for reading!

Levels 1-16

Your initial levels in this game will go by very quickly. You'll be level 5 upon leaving the Training Academy and should immediately speak to the Lifestone Greeter in blue armour who will then give you some XP and tell you to speak to the Bartender Greeter, dressed the same, who stands next to the Bartender. They'll give you more xp and will recommend you speak to a Pathwarden Greeter. Make sure you talk to the NPC first to get the xp reward, then hand them your token to receive a key for the chest behind them. You'll be level 7, just short of 8.

You now have a choice to make. If you'd like, the following quests will get you to level 16:

Alternatively, you can complete the Cow Tipping quest and hit level 16 fairly quickly albeit tediously.

Levels 16-50

Equip the Teleportation Device you received when you left the the Training Academy, enter Casting Mode, select yourself, then select and use its innate spell (the icon left of the spell bar) to teleport yourself to the Facility Hub. This will be your home for the next few dozen levels. Try to kill everything as you go and use the portals in the lower chambers to acquire Pincers from Olthoi and Tusks from Tuskers to accelerate your leveling and help you make it to the next bracket (the hub is broken up into mini rooms with 3 quests meant to get you about 5 levels' worth of experience).

In addition to the quests themselves, there are a couple kill tasks you should take advantage of:

During the Mountain Sewer Quest, complete the Kilif Zefir Kill Task.
During the Dryreach Rescue Quest, complete the Tumerok Gladiator Kill Task.

Make sure you turn in all of the items that you can, this'll progress you a bit towards completing the Asheron's Departure Lower Quest as well. See the Facility Hub Quests page for lists of items that can be acquired and turned in while exploring these quests.

You can also progress a bit towards the Impious Staff Quest during your visits to Colier and the Mite Maze.

Armour Guide

It can be hard knowing what to wear when you're trying to make-it in AC. The following is the gear that I wore that you may need help getting but should be able to acquire with some patience on your own near the upper end of the brackets. If you have an established character or friends, you can try going that route to obtaining these pieces so that you can enjoy them during the whole bracket!

Weapon Guide

Let's face it, sometimes a rended weapon just doesn't cut-it (or bash-it, impale-it, burn-it, etc) and sometimes you just can't get your hands on them. Below are a list of items to get that make going through the guide a lot easier, but I also recommend Life Magic being specialized on Mages and Alchemy for the other character types, at least for the duration of this guide, so that you can fully utilize these weapons and really dominate the game.
