The New Hidden Presents quest was activated on Friday 16th December 2011 and ran thought till Tuesday, January 3rd 2012 when it was once again deactivated.

Weapon Skills Update for February 2012 - Link
We have spent time going through all the feedback from our original proposal, and the follow up proposals presenting option 1, option 2, and option 3. Based on player feedback we feel that a system closer to option 1 would be best for the game. We realize there is not a general consensus on this, and that some players still have concerns and we will be trying to gather feedback on option 1 and addressing issues as much as design and tech allow.

The November event Master of Design, is scheduled to go live on Tuesday November 8th. On that day all worlds will be down from 8am - 11am Eastern. You can check out the November Event page here!

Bonus XP and Luminance Weekend!!! - Link
We will be having a bonus quest experience and Luminance weekend starting sometime before 6pm Eastern on Friday October 28th and ending on Tuesday November 1st. (Sometime Tuesday morning before noon)
All quest XP rewards during that time will be increased by 50% for a total of 150% experience.
All quest Luminance rewards during that time will be increased by 50% for a total of 150% Luminance.

A reminder from Turbine regarding third party add-ons. - Link
Please be aware that third party add-ons are prohibited under the Asheron’s Call Code of Conduct and some may require you to enter your Asheron’s Call login credentials (username and password). These specific add-ons have a high risk of resulting in account compromise due to the storage of your user credentials.
Turbine will be unable to assist with any account compromise that results in loss of characters, items or in-game currency. We recommend that anyone using add-ons that log credentials discontinue using them, update their passwords via myaccount.turbine.com and to uninstall the programs completely.

Turbine Pumpkin Carving Contest 2011 - Link
It’s that time of year again: the weather turns colder, the leaves turn colorful, and spooky fun turns up everywhere. It also means it’s the perfect time for a pumpkin carving contest!
Turbine will accept digital photographs of entries from October 18th through November 5th, 2011. Entries must be original creations, should be at least 1024x768 in resolution, and no larger than 6MB in file size. Photograph your pumpkin and enter it in one of the following categories:

  • AC Pumpkins
  • DDO Pumpkins
  • LOTRO Pumpkins

Turbine Requests Users Change Passwords - Link
Recently, we were made aware of an issue with the security of our LOTRO community web applications. Protecting player accounts is a top priority and we take any potential issues seriously. As a result, we closed all of our forums as we investigate the situation. We are continuing to investigate and the forums will not reopen until this work is complete.

As an additional precaution we recommend that all players change their passwords by visiting https://myaccount.turbine.com. Please remember to use unique, hard-to guess passwords that are not associated with other online services or sites, and always look for and report unusual activity in your account to Turbine customer support.
