Character and Background
- Viamontian Mage, "Chief Thamaturgical Counsellor"[1] to King Varicci di Corcosi II
- Leader (Grand Master) of the Ordina Rossu Morta, until he was disgraced and Count Ranarre put in his place by the King. [2]
- Responsible for the torturing and killing of Eleonora du Bellenesse
- Responsible for the experiments with Jared Kurth and the forging of his sword Heartbreaker[3]

- Brains behind the break in into Knorr by Master Malsivir [6]
- Continuously experimented with the binding of all kinds of spirits[7], for example with the Bound Falatacot looking for Grael's power source together with Melaverre. [8][9]
- Responsible for the experiments around Grael[10]
- He disappeared during the Toward Ancient Shores patch. There were rumors that he was getting involved with the Raven Hand [11]

- Both the Raven Hand and Dardante tried to summon Grael and get him under their control. Pontifex Maegris of the Raven Hand and Dardante decided indeed to cooperate and initiate a summoning ritual [12][13]
- The summoning of Grael did not go as planned, and both Pontifex Maegris and Dardante's main assistant, Archmage Aigonne, were turned into shadows[14]
- The experiments with Grael having gone awry, Grael became now Dardante's master instead of the other way around and the King saw him as a traitor [15]. Dardante, being corrupted by Grael, was turned into a Shadow.
- His experiments were taken over by one of his field researchers, Count Ranarre[16]
- With the defeat of Grael, Dardante disappeared

Commander Jared Kurth Raids
During the April 2006 Shining Runes and Shadowed Hands patch, Jared Kurth was released again by Dardante and attacked different towns.[17][18]
- Dardante appeared after Commander Kurth was killed or disappeared and handed out Dardante's Viamontian Propaganda[19]
