May Patch Live and Hotfix Scheduled - Link
The May update Lost City of Neftet is now live and the Asheron's Call Game Servers have been tentatively scheduled to be brought down on Wednesday, May 18 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) for a hotfix (presumably to fix prismatic arrows doing typeless damage).

May Patch Info: Contracts - Link
Severlin provides information on one of the all new game features being introduced in the May Patch. This is a system that bears similarities to both the rumor system and the facility hub. Contracts (purchasable from Contract Brokers) will allow you to keep track of new quests based on timer, progression in kill tasks, acquisition of items, location of NPC and objective and other possible mechanics. It is mainly focused on the 50-100 area currently but it is intended to cover all quests in the game eventually.

Tumerok/Lugian Playable Race Delayed - Link
The May Event is tentatively scheduled to go live on May 17th and will include a new hunting area, two new dungeons and over a dozen new quests. However the new playable race has been delayed to a future patch. Turbine has also released two teaser images early.

Luminance & Bonus XP Weekend - Link
In light of the recent luminance weekend being cut short, Turbine has announced that there will be another Luminance and bonus XP weekend.

Starting in the afternoon on February 18th through the morning of February 21st, bonus Luminance will be available (quests only) in addition to bonus XP (quests and hunting).

Bonus Quest XP and Luminance Weekends! - Link
We will be having a bonus quest experience weekend starting sometime before 6pm Eastern on Friday January 14th and ending on Monday January 17th. (Sometime Monday morning before noon)

All quest XP rewards during that time will be increased by 50% for a total of 150% experience.

Additionally, we will be having a bonus quest Luminance weekend starting sometime before 6pm Eastern on Friday January 28th and ending on Monday January 31st. (Sometime Monday morning before noon)

All quest Luminance rewards during that time will be increased by 50% for a total of 150% Luminance.

Luminance Issue - Link
Recently we discovered an issue with Luminance that can allow some players to gain Luminance at a much faster rate than was intended. With the aid of our logging system, we are able to identify players that use this means to get ahead of where they should be. Any player we have identified as using this means to get ahead of where they should be will have their extra gained augmentation removed. Going forward, anyone caught doing this or communicating the steps to do it will also be subject to further disciplinary action (which could include, but is not limited to, account suspension). The issue will be resolved in the upcoming December update.

Asheron.info update
As many have noticed our original address has redirected to the wiki but there have been some issues with navigating the site once on it if you use that address. We are in the process of fixing that so that asheron.info will become truly interchangeable for ac.wikkii.net and this should be working fully very soon (in the meantime it may not redirect at all until all the changes propogate).

Welcome to our New Hosting Site - Link
Over the years we have moved hosting of the wiki a couple of times, each time because we had outgrown our host's ability to handle our usage. This time our move was for quite different reasons and had to do with Wikia's decision to seriously overhaul their default skin (which controls how the wiki is laid out and its appearance). Wikia also decided to make the skin mandatory and the major contributors to the wiki decided that the changes were fundamentally incompatible with the nature of our particular wiki. Wikia has always been a gracious and helpful host and we wish them well in the new direction they have decided to take their site, and regret that we cannot accompany them.

The default skin is Vector, the same as used by Wikipedia. If you prefer the old look, you can set your skin to Monobook in your preferences after registering. If you have any questions or problems, please contact Tlosk here, on Wikia, or on our announcement thread on Turbine's Boards.
