I was closely following the live events after I left and I remember being excited reading about the response to Bael'Zharon and the defense of the shard. But I have to say, I was never a proponent of the sequel. It felt like a compromised game from the start, and it didn't make sense to me why anyone would want a sequel to a live MMO. There was very little to make it appealing to existing AC players.
