	~~“I wanted to get a better look at whats happening down there,” said the young adventurer, gesturing down at the town, which had become completely engulfed in shadow.~~

	~~“Of course you did,” replied the old soldier, with enough sarcasm in his voice to peel paint off a shield. “You wanted to take a dive into the shadows from here, didnt you?”~~

	~~The young adventurer looked startled for a moment and then stammered out, “No, uh, of course not! I just wanted to see where the best place to attack was. I just got~~ this ~~new Shadowfire wand and wanted to test it out~~.”

	“Uh-huh. Of course you did,” replied the old soldier, now getting amused at the young adventurers discomfort. “You wanted to not only toss yourself off this immensely tall tower into a Sea of Shadow, was it? Yes, I do believe thats how those rumors have been.”

	~~“I did not!” replied the young adventurer, perhaps a bit too defensively.~~

	~~“Whats worse,” continued the old soldier, “is that you want ME to jump with you, dont you?” The old soldier was smiling now.~~

	Seeing the smile, the young adventurer relaxed a bit. “Well, if we were to jump, it wouldnt hurt overmuch. Ive got the best Life Magics available for dealing with landing from great heights. Not saying we should, mind you, just letting you know wed survive it fairly easily.”

	~~“You just want me to jump with you because youre too afraid to do it yourself.” Said the old soldier, now clearly looking to aggravate his young friend.~~

	~~“What!?” came the indignant reply. “Ill have you know Ive jumped off this tower plenty of times!”~~

	~~“Uh-huh.”~~

	~~“Its true! Ill prove it!” And, with a turn and a hop, the young adventurer plummeted off the tower towards the ground below.~~
