Shoushi is part of the starter town [[Portal Loop]].

Shoushi portals can be found in [[Holtburg]], [[Rithwic]], [[Yanshi]], and [[Sanamar]].

Additional portals can be found in places like the [[Abandoned Mine]] (aka Subway or Hub depending on server)

Abandoned Mine

The Abandoned Mine, located just NW of [[Arwic]], is also known as Subway, Sub, or Hub, depending on which server you play on. It is one of several [[Portal Nexus Dungeons]].

To get to the bottom, cross the room to the passage accross from the exit portal, and wind your way down the spiral counter clockwise.

At the bottom of the dungeon are portals to the following locations:

[[Qalaba'r]], [[Mayoi]], [[Hebian-To]], [[Shoushi]], [[Cragstone]], [[Arwic]], [[Holtburg]], [[Glendon Wood]], [[Rithwic]], [[Zaikhal]], [[Samsur]], the [[Underground City]], and [[Yaraq]].

The Surface portal exit is just NW of [[Arwic]].

Fort Tethana

In the early days, Fort Tethana was a thriving center for trade and social activity. Fueled by the high prices the vendors would pay for goods and the proximity of adventuresome Dires hunting grounds, people came from far and wide to trade and socialize.

Under the guise of "Fair Trade" the vendors accross [[Dereth]] standardized their buy and resale rates, which ended many merchant's profitable trade of buying from a [[Master Mage]] or other inexpensive vendor and selling these goods in Fort Tethana or other Dires towns.

It did not take long for Fort Tethana to become a far less traveled destination, which was very unfortunate, as a large group of [[Renagade]]s, an alliance of [[Lugian]]s and [[Tumerok]]s, set up nearby and layed seige to the hapless town.

Having received no help from High Queen [[Elysa Strathelar]], Tethana Commander [[Jared Kurth]] turned to the Viamontians for help. Instead he was turned into a ravening monster by the power-mad [[Count Dardante]]. The Renagade siege remains unlifted to this day.

== Getting to Fort Tethana ==

Fort Tethana can be reached through the [[Colossus Foundary]], one of the [[Statue Dungeons]]. These statues can be found in [[Ayan Baqur]], [[Wei Jhou]], and [[Kara]]. ''Hint: there is a [[Kara]] portal in [[Shoushi]].''
